Timberline Lodge - october 2008

Timberline Lodge - a.k.a. the "Overlook Hotel" from Stanley Kubricks "The Shining"! Roosevelt ordered Timberline built during the Great Depression, in order to create hundreds of jobs for. Built in 15 months by hundreds of unemployed craftsmen, wildlife motifs and Native American symbols of exquisite quality are present in every corner.

On the way back, we stopped in a popular roadside cafe, and witnessed a country drive-thru scenario - American-style...
