Blew the cobwebs out with a snowboarding holiday to Schladming, in Austria.
A combination of heavy snowfall and great terrain meant a week of powder tree runs, and dropping rocks and snow pillows across the four mountains that make up the ski area.
CJ & I had a lovely time staying at the Chalet Pension Hoffelner in Ramsdau, Schladming-Dachstein, a luxury chalet just at the base of the Daschtein Glacier run by Joanna & Rob with fantastic access to the areas cross-country ski trails. Many thanks, guys!
With it's chocolate-box looks, and North-American-style tree riding - Austria ticks all the boxes as a riding destination, providing a welcome alternative to France's overcrowded resorts.
Happy New Year, y'all ;)
